Hull & East Yorkshire Apprentice Chef of the Year Competition 2008

The race is on to find the 2008 Apprentice Chef of the Year as part of Hull Global Food Fest. The competition, sponsored by the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitality Association, is now in its second year and promises to uncover another local culinary star.

Hull College

Last year’s nail biting final saw finalists Michael Meynell and Danny Holt create 2 superb dishes each on our main stage under the watchful eye of celebrity chef, James Martin. Our winner, Danny, has since worked with some of the country’s top chefs and has never looked back since he was awarded the accolade.

This year, the competition is shaping up to be just as fierce, with some of  the region’s finest young chefs ready to battle it out at the semi-final, hosted by Hull College.

Don’t miss the final of the competition, which takes place on the festival’s main stage on Saturday 23rd August. The two finalists will be cooking up a storm in an attempt to win Ainsley Harriot’s vote, and become The Apprentice Chef of the Year, 2008.
