Hull Global Food Fest.  Dash Out, Dish Up

Two teams, ten pounds, time’s ticking away!

Come down to the main stage at Hull Global Food Fest on Saturday 23rd August at 10am to see two of the region’s finest chefs team up with two contestants and battle it out to see who can create the most impressive dishes with the dazzling array of produce that Hull Global Food Fest has to offer.

After meeting one another, the contestants from the 2 teams will be sent out to buy ingredients for a 2 course meal, with a limited money and even more limited time! The chefs will cook up some tempting dishes to whet your appetite, whilst waiting for their partner to return. Each team will then have 20 minutes to create 2 winning dishes.

If that wasn’t enough pressure, the competition will be compered and judged by none other than celebrity chef, Ainsley Harriott. Come along and watch Ainsley put our teams through their paces.

Apprentice Chef Semi Final Results

The two successful finalists of the Apprentice Chef Competition were decided today in a nail-biting semi final, hosted by Hull College.

Leslie Waters Cooks live at Princes Quay

In true spirit of the Food Fest Extravaganza, sponsors Princes Quay will be showcasing their very own cook-off with TV celebrity chef, Leslie Waters.

Well known for her regular appearances on Ready Steady Cook and Great Food Live, Leslie’s mission statement is ‘to inspire, give confidence and have fun!’ We are sure her interactive and lively cooking demonstration will be a bit hit with Food Festival goers.
